Where do you shop?
I shop almost entirely at thrift stores. More than three-quarters of my wardrobe is second hand! I truly love treasure hunting. I also have many items from the Urban Outfitters sale section.
I live in Columbus. What thrift store should I go to?
I always recommend going Village Discount Outlet. It’s my favorite. I also used to frequent the Ohio Thrift Store on Sullivant Avenue.
I live in Chicago. What thrift store should I go to?
Right now I haven’t gotten the opportunity to go to many. I have a list of must-sees, but really haven’t made it past Wicker Park yet (eep). Stay tuned.
Aren’t you grossed out by wearing some dead person’s clothes?
It’s highly unlikely that anyone actually died while wearing these clothes. Otherwise, some items may have belonged to someone who has passed. I’m more grossed out by the amount of waste and pollution that comes from mass producing new clothing.
Will you be my stylist?
If you are legitimately offering me a job, then yes, I would be willing to be a personal stylist for money. I’m always happy to give style suggestions if you need it.
Are you single?
Yes.
Are you a vegetarian?
Yes.
Who is your tattoo artist?
I have work from a few different tattoo artists. I recommend that everyone goes to Scott Santee at Memento Tattoo Gallery in Columbus.
What is your Etsy link?
Mini Penny where I sell clothing and housewares that are either vintage or refashioned.
Can I use your photography on my website?
Only and only if you properly link back to me! This goes for any of the sites you follow me on — Flickr, Tumblr, Blogger, etc. And by credit I don’t mean simply linking the photo. Please use a caption that reads either “Photo by Jessie Barber” or “Photo by Chaplinnn” or something of the sort! I really would appreciate it if you don’t add my photos to weheartit, Pinterest, or other photo bookmarking sites. Many people remove credit and there’s really nothing that annoys me more than stolen images!

Yes, I have had many different hair colors and styles. I used to be known for my bright pink hair. My old tumblr url was “jessiebarber.tumblr.com” so you may know me from there.
Why don’t you blog about bikes anymore? I followed you for bicycle pictures!
If you do not like what I Tumblr, then by all means unfollow! My feelings will not be hurt. While I still love bicycles, I have shifted my focus more towards sharing my life rather than reblog random photos of strangers’ bikes. I’m still me!
Where do you work?
I would rather not disclose that so straight-forwardlike, but I work full time at a clothing store.
What kind of camera do you have?
I own almost thirty cameras, but most commonly use my Canon 5D Mark II for my daily shots! I also enjoy Polaroids and toy cameras.
Why are you an atheist?
Because the burden of truth lies upon those who make extraordinary claims — and there is no scientific evidence to support fairy tales. I believe that all religions are used as tools to suppress people.
How did you lose weight?
I stopped eating meat for a while and stopped drinking beer. I changed my outlook on life, kept riding my bike, and my body change was a result. I was never attempting to lose weight.
